What does Uszi Zefiryn mean and how do you pronounce it?

Uszi (ooshie) is the Polish spelling of the German nickname for Ursula.

Zefiryn (zepheeryn) comes from the word zephyr. Zephyr is the west wind, a gentle breeze. It can also mean a delicate, light fabric or yarn. Zephyrus is the Greek god of the west wind, considered the most pleasant of the winds.

About

Uszi Zefiryn is a line of modern handcrafted couture millinery items and accessories. Each object is designed with a sense of fun and playfulness. Many designs are inspired by the past, but definitely are a modern take.

Uszi Zefiryn was founded by Urszula Humienik in 2005 upon graduating from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. At first she sold at local independent designer craft fairs. Then, she was approached by Lindsey Boland, who asked her to sell her products at Habit boutique in Chicago. The rest, as they say, is history...

In July 2006, Urszula moved back to her native Poland, and the company moved along with her. Currently, Uszi Zefiryn is sold in a few stores in the United States and New Zealand, with an international expansion and a men's line in the works.
